City Eden TV is a Russian-language channel of the Сити Эдем Групп media company, a broadcaster that grew out of Christian radio and now runs a family of channels in several directions. The City Eden channel itself is general in profile, broadcasting in high definition for a wide audience.

A group that began with radio

Сити Эдем Групп describes itself as an interconfessional Christian broadcaster, and radio came first: the group's stations and podcasts remain a large part of its output. From that base it built a television division, and its channel list now divides into four groups - Christian channels, film channels, educational channels and music channels - with City Eden TV as its general service.

What the channel carries

Sitting outside the strictly religious and film categories, City Eden TV mixes the kinds of programmes that suit a broad Russian audience: conversation and studio formats, documentaries and popular-science material, cultural programming and music. The religious strand of the group's work is carried by its dedicated Christian channels rather than by this one, which is what allows City Eden TV to present itself as a general channel.

Distribution and production

The group distributes its channels over IPTV and cable platforms, offers its own IPTV, telephony and smart-TV services, and takes commissions to build channels for outside clients. City Eden TV is available in HD through those platforms and through the group's online listing, where its schedule and the full channel line-up are published.
