TV Maná English is the English-language channel of TV Maná, the television network of Igreja Maná. The church's name comes from the manna that fed Israel in the desert, and its television work carries the same idea of daily provision - a schedule of services, prayer and teaching available to English-speaking viewers around the clock.

An English voice from a Portuguese church

Igreja Maná began in Portugal and built its television arm around the Portuguese language, with TV Maná 1 on air since 2011. The English channel extends that work to the countries where the church's message would otherwise arrive translated late or not at all: Anglophone Europe, North America, and the English-speaking parts of Africa and Asia where the network has congregations and partners.

Prayer, preaching and practical teaching

The content follows the network's established pattern. Services and prayer meetings are carried at length; programmes address family life, money, health and conduct from a Christian standpoint; testimonies and gospel music fill the rest. The network also runs a dedicated 24-hour prayer channel, and the English service gives viewers who pray in English the same continuous access as the Portuguese audience.

How it is distributed

The language channels are distributed online, through the network's players and through the platforms that carry its channels by satellite and cable. Programming is published with a full schedule, and past editions are kept in an archive so that a series can be followed in order rather than caught at random.
