TV Bor - part of Radio Televizija Bor (Štampa, radio i film d.o.o.) - is the regional public broadcaster of Bor, in eastern Serbia. The house's publishing history goes back to 1947 and the magazine Kolektiv; Radio Bor began broadcasting in late December 1969, and Television Bor followed in 1993, giving the mining district on the Danube its own screen.

News and programmes

The newsroom's flagship is the daily Dnevnik bulletin, covering society, economy, chronicle, culture, education, politics, health, agriculture, tourism and sport in Bor and the surrounding district. The interview programme U fokusu hosts local figures - from mayors to doctors and teachers - and the channel documents community life from school anniversaries and the Bor wine fair to the fortunes of the local handball and football clubs.

Its reporters follow the life of a town shaped by mining: the fortunes of the Ziđin copper works, employment fairs, road repairs and the weather on the mountain roads are regular fixtures of the bulletin.

Distribution

Television Bor is received over DVB-T2 and on the IPTV platforms Telekom Srbija, BeotelNET and Orion Telekom in Serbia, while viewers abroad can follow it through NetTV Plus, Balkaniyum TV and GSS media - an arrangement that keeps the Bor diaspora connected to home.
