WECN Live Stream

WECN is a Spanish-language Christian television station in Puerto Rico, familiar to viewers as Canal 64 and also listed under the name Único TV. Its schedule is religious throughout - preaching, teaching and worship - and it is followed online through its stream.

Christian television on the island

Puerto Rico has a dense television market for its size, with the American networks, the Spanish-language giants and a layer of local stations serving the island's municipalities. Religious broadcasters occupy a distinct place in that line-up: they are local institutions rather than network affiliates, supported by their congregations and by the donations of viewers, and their schedules follow the church calendar rather than the ratings season.

What the channel carries

The station's output is built on the elements common to Spanish-language Christian broadcasting: services carried in full, sermons and Bible teaching, worship music, and programmes on family life and Christian conduct. Programming of this kind serves a congregation that cannot always attend in person and a wider audience that follows the teaching at home.

Watching the station

WECN broadcasts in standard definition and streams online, which is how much of its audience - on the island and in the Puerto Rican communities of the mainland United States - reaches it. The channel keeps a continuous feed rather than a programme-on-demand catalogue, so a viewer can join the broadcast at any hour.
