Al-Istiqama TV - قناة الاستقامة الفضائية, the Steadfastness Channel - is an Islamic satellite broadcaster working from Oman. Its name names the virtue it sets out to teach, and its programming is built on religious instruction in Arabic.

The channel and its platforms

Al-Istiqama is more than a single channel. Its site organises a family of media services: the television channel itself, Al-Istiqama for the Quran, the Madarij podcast, the Barza programme strand, Sada al-Nasheed for religious song, and a SoundCloud archive. Behind them sit two companies - one for advertising and one for artistic production - and a Zajel services division, which together make the organisation a small media group rather than a single broadcaster.

What it broadcasts

The schedule is instructional: lessons in doctrine and jurisprudence, Quran recitation and memorisation, programmes on personal conduct and family life, and the nasheed that the channel's own label produces. A printed schedule and an archive of past programmes are published on the site alongside the live broadcast.

Organization and reach

Al-Istiqama broadcasts by satellite across the Gulf and streams online, with a live page and a programme table on its site. Its archive channel collects older material, and the group publishes news about its own activities, vacancies and services for employees - the ordinary furniture of an established broadcaster.
