Noursat Live Stream

Noursat - نورسات, the light - is the Arabic flagship channel of Tele Lumiere, the Christian television network of the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, broadcasting from Lebanon. It is the network's main service, and its English-language sister channel carries part of the same programming to viewers abroad.

A Christian voice in the Middle East

Christians in Lebanon and the wider region live as a minority among larger populations, and Noursat's role is to serve them in Arabic: the Mass and the liturgies of the Eastern Catholic churches, prayer, catechesis, and coverage of the Church's life - the Patriarch's visits and pronouncements, the parishes and monasteries, and the Christian presence in the region. Documentaries on the country's Christian heritage form a significant part of the output.

Beyond the liturgy

The schedule also carries social and cultural programming - family life, youth, health and matters of public concern - presented from a Christian standpoint. That breadth is deliberate: a channel serving a community rather than a congregation addresses the questions its viewers face in daily life, in the language and idiom of the region.

Watching

Noursat broadcasts in standard definition on satellite across the Middle East, Europe and the Americas, and it streams online through the network's own infrastructure. Its output is published through noursat.tv and on the network's video channels, where the programmes are collected.
