RUTC TV is the television service of the Remnant University Training Center in South Korea, a ministry built on the training of lay believers and young people for church work. It broadcasts in Korean and publishes versions of its site in English, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, French and Indonesian.

The idea of the remnant

The name gives the ministry's central idea: the remnant, the minority who keep faith through a hostile age, prepared in advance for the work that follows. Its training programme takes that idea into practice, and the television channel carries it - sermons, Bible lectures and teaching addressed to children, young people and adults in separate blocks, so that each age group meets the material at its own level.

What the channel carries

The schedule follows the ministry's week: Sunday and Wednesday services, sermon series on the church's themes, Bible lectures for the training course, and youth and children's programming. Programmes run to fixed lengths and repeat through the day, which makes the channel useful to viewers in other time zones as well as in Korea.

Watching

RUTC TV broadcasts in standard definition and streams in high definition from its own servers, with a programme schedule on its site and a video archive on its channel. The ministry's material is also translated for its international audiences, and the multi-language site points viewers to the version in their own tongue.
