Bali TV is a privately owned Indonesian television station covering the island of Bali. Part of the Bali Post Media Group and operated by PT Bali Ranadha Televisi, it first went on air on 26 May 2002 and broadcasts from its headquarters at the Pers Bali K. Nadha Building on Jalan Kebo Iwa in Denpasar. The station, founded under the leadership of Bali Post Media Group head Satria Naradha, carries the motto "The Sun of Bali" and focuses on the culture, customs and daily life of the island.

Balinese identity on air

Bali TV broadcasts in both Indonesian and Balinese and became well known for its Balinese-language output - including broadcasts of Balinese songs and traditional ceremonies - making it a distinctive voice among Indonesian local stations.

Bali TV Programs

Its news programme is Seputar Bali, covering events across the island; the programme made national headlines in May 2013 when the Bali branch of the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission suspended it for several days over its coverage of the gubernatorial election. The station's presenters have included Oka Permadi, Arna Suputra, Aura Gizela and Dwi Vera Jagat Raya.

From Jimbaran to Singaraja, UHF Across the Island

Bali TV's terrestrial signal reaches the island from transmitters including Bukit Bakung in Jimbaran - historically channel 49 UHF for the Denpasar area and 55 UHF for Singaraja - with an additional transmitter in Anturan village; in the digital era it broadcasts on 30 UHF with virtual channel 7. The station is part of the Indonesia Network affiliation and has sister local stations across the archipelago, among them Aceh TV, Bandung TV, Jogja TV, Semarang TV, Sriwijaya TV, Sumut TV and Surabaya TV.
