Móra-Net TV is the regional public-service broadcaster of the Homokhátság, the sandy ridge country of Csongrád-Csanád County in southern Hungary. Based in Mórahalom and operated by the nonprofit HTV Média, the channel serves sixteen settlements between Mórahalom and Szeged, and its live stream extends that local service beyond the cable networks. A sister service, Mini Rádió, covers the same area by air.
The Television of the Homokhátság
The channel's signal reaches Mórahalom, Algyő, Ásotthalom, Bordány, Csólyospálos, Domaszék, Kiskundorozsma, Forráskút, Öttömös, Pusztamérges, Röszke, Ruzsa, Sándorfalva, Üllés, Zákányszék and Zsombó. Fresh programs air on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 18:00, with repeats across Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, a rhythm shaped for a small regional newsroom. Móra-Net TV's media service is supported by the Hungarian Media Council through the Hungarian Media Patronage Program, the state scheme that sustains regional public media.
News and Weekly Magazines
The news block Hírek and its companion Hírháttér (News Background) report on municipal decisions, community events and everyday issues across the sixteen settlements. Fórum is the channel's public-affairs magazine, while Monitorpresszó hosts studio conversations with local figures. Köztünk élnek (They Live Among Us) presents portraits of residents of the region.
The cultural magazine Ünnepeink, rendezvényeink (Our Holidays and Events) follows festivals and celebrations, Klipper covers music, and Sport rounds up regional athletics with sports reporter Dr. Németh László. Religious life appears in two programs: the magazine Útjelző (Road Sign) and the church program Hit-Élet (Faith and Life).
A Small Regional Newsroom
Móra-Net TV is produced from the Aranyszöm Event House in Mórahalom by a compact team: manager Papp Éva, technical lead and editor Szécsi Gábor, editor and reporter Csányi Cintia, cameramen and editors Balogh Zoltán and Duka Félix, and newsreaders Csiszár Melinda and Németh Éva. The newsroom also records and broadcasts the public hearings of the local municipalities.
