Al Wilayah Live Stream

Al Wilayah - الولاية - is an Arabic-language Islamic television channel broadcasting from Iran. Its subject is the teaching of the Ahl al-Bayt, the family of the Prophet, and it addresses an Arabic-speaking audience across the region as well as Persian viewers.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on religious instruction and guidance: lectures by scholars on doctrine and on the school of the Ahl al-Bayt, teaching on the obligations of worship and on daily conduct, recitation and devotional sessions, and coverage of the religious occasions of the Shia calendar. Programmes are presented in Arabic, which gives the channel its reach beyond Iran's borders.

Arabic broadcasting from Iran

Iran's Arabic-language religious channels serve two purposes at once: they address Arabic-speaking audiences in Iraq, Lebanon, the Gulf and the wider region, and they give the country's religious institutions a voice in Arabic rather than through translation. Al Wilayah belongs to that group, and its output follows the same pattern - scholarship first, with the devotional calendar framing the year.

Watching

Al Wilayah broadcasts in standard definition by satellite and streams through the Livekadeh platform, which carries a number of Persian and Arabic religious broadcasters. Its programmes are also published on its video channel.
