ZDF online - Television live

ZDF Live Stream

ZDF - Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen - is Germany's second national public television channel, headquartered in Mainz and broadcasting nationwide since 1963. Its live signal streams around the clock.

The Second Program

ZDF has been Germany's second public nationwide television program since 1963, complementing ARD and ensuring a diverse television landscape. Headquartered in Mainz - the capital of Rhineland-Palatinate - it stands as one of Europe's largest public broadcasters, with a reach that extends across the continent.

News, Investigations and Entertainment

The schedule is built on the heute newscasts through the day, magazine and investigative strands such as Frontal 21, cultural and documentary programming, and the flagship entertainment formats - from Friday night shows to the crime series that define German prime time. The channel's quality standard shaped the country's television landscape, including its early adoption of widescreen broadcasting.

Two Pillars of Public TV, One in Mainz

As one of the two pillars of German public television, ZDF keeps the country's second channel on air around the clock - the news, the investigations and the entertainment a national audience shares. For viewers in Germany and across Europe, the channel remains the second program the country built its television on.
