Vedic Live Stream

Vedic is a Hindi-language devotional channel from India, part of the family of services run by Vedic Broadcasting Ltd. - the company behind Aastha TV, one of the country's best-known Hindu devotional networks.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on the devotional forms of northern India: bhajan and kirtan sung by established and local performers, aarti from temples, readings and teaching from the scriptures, and discourses by teachers on the epics, the Upanishads and the practice of daily worship. It is music-led devotional television, with the singing carrying as much weight as the spoken word.

Part of a devotional network

Vedic Broadcasting runs several channels with different emphases - Aastha for general devotional programming, Aastha Bhajan for music, and this service among them - and the group also covers yoga and Ayurveda, which reflect the broader interests of its audience. A channel within such a group can concentrate on one thing, and Vedic concentrates on the teaching that surrounds the devotional song.

Watching

Vedic broadcasts in standard definition on Indian cable and satellite platforms and streams through the Tango TV infrastructure used by the group. Its programmes are also published on its video channel.
