Swastik TV Live Stream

Swastik TV is a Hindi-language devotional channel broadcasting from India. Its subject is the practice of Hindu devotion as it is lived in the country's temples and homes: aarti, the observances of the religious calendar, and the discourse that explains them.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on the day's acts of worship: the aarti sung at the temple morning and evening, readings and recitation, and the festivals that supply the year's structure - Shivratri, Navratri, Janmashtami, Diwali and the rest, each with its own observances. Religious discourse fills the hours between, with teachers speaking on the epics, on the puranas and on the conduct of daily life.

Devotional television's place

India's devotional channels serve an audience that treats the television as an extension of the home shrine: something to be on during the morning and evening worship rather than something to be watched for a programme. A channel like this one is built for that use - continuous, familiar and free of the interruptions of general entertainment television.

Watching

Swastik TV broadcasts in standard definition and streams through the PlayOnTV infrastructure used by its operator, and its programmes are aimed at Hindi-speaking viewers in India and in the diaspora.
