SVBC 3 Live Stream

SVBC 3 is the Kannada-language service of Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel, the network run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. It carries the worship of the Tirumala temple and the devotional traditions of Karnataka in Kannada.

Karnataka and the shrine

Karnataka's connection to Tirumala is old: the region's saints and composers - Purandara Dasa above all, whose kirtanas are sung across South India - belong to the same Vaishnava devotional world, and Kannada pilgrims have long travelled to the shrine. A Kannada service gives that audience the temple's worship and its own repertoire in one place.

What the channel carries

The schedule follows the network: daily worship and sevas at Tirumala, processions and festivals, discourses on Vaishnava teaching, harikatha - the narrated devotional performance of Karnataka - and devotional music in Kannada. Coverage of TTD's institutions fills out the week.

Watching

SVBC 3 broadcasts in standard definition by satellite and streams through the network's player, with its programmes also published on its video channel.
