Shalom Global Live Stream

Shalom Global is the international service of Shalom Media, the Catholic broadcaster that began as a charismatic movement in Kerala and grew into a family of channels in several languages. Where the Malayalam service serves Kerala and its diaspora, this one addresses the network's wider, largely English-speaking audience.

What the channel carries

The schedule is built on stories and on prayer: testimonies of faith, family features, teaching, and coverage of the events and conferences the network holds - including its international gatherings, which draw participants from across the world. Music and devotional programming fill the intervals, and the register is that of the network's own spirituality rather than of a single congregation.

A broadcaster with a movement behind it

Shalom Media's structure - retreat centres, publishing, a family of channels and a global following - makes it possible for a channel such as this to exist: there is enough material and enough audience to sustain a service aimed beyond one language and one country. Its programming is shared across the network and adapted, which keeps the output recognisably Shalom whatever the language.

Watching

Shalom Global broadcasts by satellite and streams through a CloudFront delivery set up for the network, and its programmes are published on its own video channel.
