Monaco Info Live Stream

Monaco Info is the public television channel of the Principality of Monaco, broadcasting news and programming devoted to the city-state from Monaco-Ville. It is the channel through which the principality covers its own affairs: government and princely events, the life of the commune, and the culture and sport of one of the world's smallest sovereign states.

Born of a Broadcasting Gap

The channel exists because of a reshaping of Monegasque television. In October 1993 the historic Télé Monte-Carlo (TMC), long the principality's own broadcaster, was transformed into a French thematic entertainment channel after its takeover by the Canal+ group - leaving Monaco without a service devoted to local news. Monaco Info was created to fill that gap, carrying the Monegasque perspective that the newly French-oriented TMC no longer provided.

Monaco à la Une and the Life of the Principality

The schedule is anchored by Monaco à la Une, the daily news bulletin covering official news about the Prince and the life of Monaco. Around it the channel carries government and institutional coverage, reports on the principality's associations and cultural life, and special-event broadcasting - from the Monte-Carlo Television Festival to the principality's national celebrations and the Monaco Grand Prix period.

The Channel of a City-State

Monaco Info serves a microstate with an outsized public life: princely occasions, the institutions of the Monegasque state, and a calendar of international events. The channel has been slated to merge with TV Monaco, the newer generalist Monegasque service, as the principality reorganises its public broadcasting - continuing the mission of a dedicated voice for the principality on screen.
