PTC Simran Live Stream

PTC Simran is the Sikh devotional channel of PTC Network, the Punjabi broadcaster. It works in Punjabi and its content is built on the practice of the Sikh faith rather than on general religious entertainment.

What the channel carries

The day follows the pattern of Sikh devotion: Gurbani in the morning - the recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib - and Kirtan Darbar, the sung hymnody performed by ragis in the traditional raags. Alongside them run programmes on Sikh history and heritage, quizzes on the tradition for younger viewers, and coverage of Gatka, the Sikh martial art, at its competitions and displays.

A network with a regional reach

PTC Network's channels cover Punjabi news, music, films and devotion, and they serve the Punjab as well as the large Punjabi diaspora in Canada, Britain, Australia and the Gulf. Within that family PTC Simran holds the devotional brief, which lets it concentrate on scripture and hymnody while the other channels carry the rest.

Watching

PTC Simran broadcasts in standard definition by satellite across India and internationally, and streams through the Tango TV infrastructure. Its channel list and details are published on the PTC Network site, and its programmes are collected on its video channel.
