Bhakthi TV is a Telugu-language devotional channel founded by Narendra Choudary Tummala. Its site reads like a devotional almanac, and the channel's schedule follows the same idea: it serves the practical side of Hindu observance as much as the singing.

What the channel carries

The sections on the site map the output: Poojas and Vratas explaining how a rite is performed, Nomas and Naivedyas for the vows and offerings, Punyakshetras for the pilgrimage sites, and Pandugalu and Parvadinamulu for the festivals, with Stotras for the recitations. Astrology has its own block - Rasi Phalalu plus daily, weekly, monthly and annual forecasts - and the channel publishes a Bhakthi Panchangam, the devotional almanac families use to fix the dates of observances.

News and community

Bhakthi TV also runs a news section on temples and religious events, a photo gallery, and coverage of the Koti Deepotsavam - the mass lamp-lighting festival it has organised in Hyderabad. That combination of almanac, ritual instruction and festival organisation is what makes it more than a music channel.

Watching

Bhakthi TV broadcasts in standard definition on Indian platforms and streams through the pishow.tv platform, with its programmes also published on its video channel.
