Hebi News Channel Live Stream

Hebi News Channel (鹤壁新闻综合频道) is the first television channel of Hebi Television, the municipal broadcaster of Hebi, a prefecture-level city in northern Henan province, China. Broadcasting in Chinese, it is the city's main source of local television news.

A two-channel municipal broadcaster

Hebi Television operates two in-house channels: the News Comprehensive Channel as its first service and the Life Channel as its second. The broadcaster's studios stand at the intersection of Huashan Road and Huanghe Road in Qibin District, and its transmission covers the whole of Hebi city as well as parts of three neighbouring prefecture-level cities — Anyang, Puyang and Xinxiang — giving the news channel an audience beyond the municipal boundary.

Reporting from a coal city

Hebi is one of Henan's important coal cities, a place whose growth was built on mining. The prefecture covers some 2,140 square kilometres of hills and plains on the south-eastern flank of the Taihang Mountains, with a permanent population of around 1.58 million; the Wei River and its tributary, the Qi River, run through its territory. The news channel's agenda reflects that setting: municipal government and policy, energy and industry, agriculture in the surrounding counties, urban development and the daily affairs of the city's districts.

Alongside the broadcast, the station runs Hebi Net (鹤壁网), its online portal under the banner "co-creating quality life", which distributes the newsroom's video reports and stories to the city's residents, while the channel's live signal is carried from the broadcaster's own streaming service.
