Angel TV Portuguese extends the Indian Christian broadcaster's reach to the Portuguese-speaking world - Brazil, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique and the diaspora that connects them. It carries the network's worship, teaching and family programming in Portuguese.

A language that spans four continents

Portuguese is spoken by more than 250 million people, and Brazil alone holds the largest Catholic population on earth alongside a fast-growing evangelical community. A Portuguese service therefore addresses audiences with very different church traditions, from Brazilian Pentecostalism to the historic parishes of Portugal and the growing churches of Angola and Mozambique.

What the network brings

Angel TV describes itself as an international media group reaching the world with positive, well-balanced Christian lifestyle programming, and its schedule is built from talk shows, dramas, films, family material, biblical teaching, music and children's programmes - around 95 per cent of it original. The channel is commercial-free and free-to-air, funded by donations rather than advertising or telethons.

Watching

Angel TV Portuguese broadcasts by satellite worldwide and streams through the Akamai delivery set up for the network, with its programmes also published on the network's video channels.
