EWTN/Bonum TV Live Stream
EWTN/Bonum TV is the Hungarian-language service of the Eternal Word Television Network, the Catholic broadcaster founded in the United States by Mother Angelica in 1981. In Hungary the channel appears in listings as Bonum TV and now operates under the EWTN Magyarország name through katolikus.tv.
Its schedule is devotional and instructional. Daily Mass, the rosary, gospel reflection and Vatican coverage fill most of the day, with documentary and film slots in the evening.
Masses and Daily Prayer
Mass is broadcast from the EWTN chapel in Budapest, usually with a named celebrant, and Napi evangéliumi elmélkedés offers a short gospel meditation each weekday morning with repeats during the day. The Vatikáni rádió Hungarian broadcast airs daily, carrying the Holy See's own reporting.
Devotional strands include Máriával a jászolhoz and Máriával a Golgotára for Advent and Lent, along with Szeretve szeretni, the programme of the Szeretetláng movement.
Teaching and Talk Programmes
Angelica anya tanítása presents the founder's teaching in Hungarian. Színe-visszája élőben is an interactive studio programme with Bányai Miklós that takes calls from viewers, and Mohai Gábor és vendégei is built around interviews.
Töprengés Istenről, presented by Surján László, examines questions of faith, while Az Ígéret Földje with the Franciscan Várnai Jakab covers the Holy Land. Terra Santa News reports from Jerusalem, and EWTN Hírnök carries church news.
Culture and Family
A konyha angyala is a cooking programme with Fr. Leo Patalinghug, and Férfi (H)arcok addresses men's concerns. Hungarian heritage appears in Eszterházy gondolatok and in regional features on the Palóc, Matyó and Székely areas. Documentaries, features and nature films complete the evening schedule.
