MTA5 Africa Live Stream

MTA5 Africa is the African regional channel of MTA International, the television service of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It is carried with audio in English for African audiences, together with Yoruba, Twi and Hausa tracks, reflecting the languages of the communities the channel serves.

Qur'an and Teaching

Recitation of the Qur'an opens and closes much of the schedule, and teaching programmes explain the text and the practice of the faith for viewers who follow in translation. The Friday sermon of the community's spiritual leader is broadcast with African language audio.

Programmes also cover the history of the community on the continent and the work of its missions, with reports from national conventions and local gatherings.

News and Documentaries

World News bulletins summarise international events, and documentary strands examine life in African communities, including the series built around Villages of Africa. The channel gives particular attention to development, education and health subjects affecting its audience.

Addresses and Public Life

The archive includes major addresses by the community's leadership, among them the address delivered in the European Parliament in December 2012, which the channel has rebroadcast several times.

Where to Watch

MTA5 Africa is available through the MTA website and its applications, and its programmes are published in the network's video archive alongside those of the other MTA channels.
