Trece online - Television live
Trece Live Stream
Trece is a Spanish free-to-air channel run by the Episcopal Conference of Spain and belonging to the Radio Popular group, alongside the radio stations COPE, Rock FM, Cadena 100 and MegaStar FM and the Popular TV network. It was launched as 13TV on 29 November 2010, using a frequency rented from Unidad Editorial, and took the name Trece in September 2017.
The channel received its own frequency on 30 September 2015 and began broadcasting on it the following year. In 2016 the church commissioned a review of the service, which concluded that its content should be reformed to reach beyond its traditional audience, and the change of identity followed.
Mass and Religious Coverage
Daily Mass is a fixture of the schedule, and the channel keeps an archive of services for viewers who cannot attend in person. Coverage extends to funerals, ordinations and major celebrations, and adult catechesis programmes explain the faith in a structured form.
The channel reports on the church in Spain and on the Vatican, including audiences and papal events, and follows the work of dioceses and religious orders.
News and Debate
El Cascabel is the evening news and debate programme, covering politics, the economy and social questions. Bulletins run through the day, and the channel's reporting is close to the concerns of the Episcopal Conference without being limited to religious affairs.
Culture, Film and Children
The schedule includes documentaries, cultural reports and classic films, and a children's block was introduced in 2013. TRECE shares production resources with COPE, and its programming is published through the group's website.
