WISH-TV is Indianapolis's CW network affiliate, broadcasting local news and CW programming on virtual channel 8 from studios on North Meridian Street in the heart of the Indiana capital.

Six Decades on Channel 8

The station signed on in 1954 and spent most of its life as the market's CBS affiliate, a run of nearly six decades that ended in 2015 when the network affiliation moved and WISH-TV joined The CW. Today it operates as part of a Nexstar Media Group duopoly with WNDY-TV, the Crawfordsville-licensed sister station, keeping two Indianapolis signals under one newsroom.

Local News for the Circle City

News remains the station's identity: morning and evening bulletins, breaking coverage from the Statehouse and the city's neighborhoods, and the All Indiana franchise of news and sports programs that stretches coverage across the whole state. Weeknights pair the station's own newscasts with the CW's primetime lineup, and storm season puts the weather team's live tracking at the center of the schedule.

Watching from Anywhere

The station streams its live news coverage and channel feed through its own site, with a full video archive and the YouTube channel carrying highlights, full newscasts and special reports for viewers outside the broadcast footprint of America's fifteenth-largest television market.
