Sophia TV Français is the French-language service of Radio Santec, an independent Christian broadcaster working from Marktheidenfeld in Bavaria and transmitting around the clock to viewers worldwide. The organisation describes itself as an original Christian radio and television station, and it produces both media from the same editorial base.

Radio Santec – SOPHIA TV is financed by donations rather than advertising, and its stated position is that it is independent and free.

Formats and Series

The schedule examines different areas of life from the perspective of high ethics and morality, in the station's phrasing. Its series include divine revelations, inner devotions and meditations, along with schooling hours and readings.

Discussion formats bring participants together for round tables, and the channel also produces programmes on the state of the environment and on the protection of animals and nature. Nature documentaries are a regular part of the output, as are programmes made for children.

French Service

Sophia TV broadcasts in several languages, each with its own feed, and the French service carries the same body of series translated and presented for francophone viewers. The French pages of the broadcaster's website set out the programming and the frequencies used in different countries.

Reception

Radio Santec – SOPHIA TV is available by satellite and online, and in Germany the channels are carried on the Vodafone cable network, where viewers find the service under the name Die Neue Zeit TV. The broadcast starts around the clock, with Berlin time used as the reference for the schedule.
