EchtJetzt TV Live Stream

EchtJetzt TV is a German-language Christian channel built on personal stories, broadcast around the clock and associated with Bibel TV. Its motto, Von Gott berührt, touched by God, sets the tone: the programmes follow ordinary people describing what faith has meant in their own lives.

The Idea Behind the Channel

The station explains its name with a reflection on time. History is what lies behind us and what has shaped us; it is also what lies ahead, the direction we are moving in. In the present the two meet, in everyday life, where the real story is written.

From that starting point the channel asks viewers about their own part in the story, whether they are the author or a prompter, whether they hold the leading role or would rather step out of the scene. EchtJetzt presents the answer through the lives of people who were surprised by God's touch in the middle of ordinary days.

Format

Programmes are conversational. Guests talk about illness, loss, family conflict, addiction and new beginnings, and the conversation stays with the person's own account rather than turning into a sermon. Short portraits and reports from everyday settings are scheduled between the longer interviews.

The channel runs a full-day schedule with dated editions, so the stories can be followed daily, and it presents itself as an offer for viewers who are sceptical of religious broadcasting: Echt jetzt?, really? The answer given is Echt jetzt!, because everything is possible.

Where to Watch

EchtJetzt TV streams through its own website, where the schedule and the live player sit together, and is carried in the Bibel TV family of channels, which distributes several German Christian services on satellite, cable and online.
