Pointe TV Live Stream
Pointe TV is the television channel of the Pointe Broadcasting Network (PBN), a media company based in Point, St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. Broadcasting in English, it serves as the television arm of a media group that also operates the online newspaper Pointe Xpress and the radio stations Pointe FM 99.1 and Platinum FM 97.9.
News coverage across Antigua and the Caribbean
The channel's schedule is built around news and current affairs, reflecting the main editorial directions of the Pointe Broadcasting Network: local news from Antigua and Barbuda, regional developments from across the Caribbean, international headlines, and arts and entertainment stories. Much of the network's reporting concentrates on national politics and government affairs in St. John's, from parliamentary statements and public policy debates to coverage of tourism, investment and community events across the twin-island state.
The Browne & Browne Show and network programming
A high-profile program associated with the network is The Browne & Browne Show, a talk format that has become a major press outlet for Prime Minister Gaston Browne. The television service works alongside Pointe FM 99.1, a community radio station serving the Point and Villa area of the capital with factual reporting, cross-generational music and family-oriented programming, and Platinum FM 97.9, the network's second radio service.
Roots in the Point and Villa community
The Pointe Broadcasting Network is based in the St. John's City West constituency, with a particular emphasis on the Point and Villa communities, and carries the slogan "Trusted News, Respected Views". Its shareholders include a charity owned by Maria Browne, the spouse of the prime minister, and the company is generally considered aligned with the governing Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, although Gaston Browne himself maintains that he holds no shares in it. The network has also stated that it was not created to compete with ZDK, the country's other Labour-aligned broadcaster, but to bring an additional television, radio and digital voice to the national media landscape.
