ABC News Live 1 Live Stream

ABC News Live 1 is one of several parallel feeds that carry ABC News Live, the American streaming news service operated by ABC News. The channel has been on air since 2018 and runs continuously with breaking coverage, live events, newscasts and longer-form reports and documentaries.

Why Several Feeds

The service is distributed as a set of separate HLS streams — each with its own master playlist and a group of quality levels — rather than as a single address. That arrangement lets the broadcaster spread load across its content delivery network, gives platforms a dedicated endpoint and allows an operator to switch between feeds when one fails.

For a viewer the result is the same programme; for the broadcaster it means redundancy. A player that loses one stream can fall back to another carrying the same output.

Content

Programming is anchored from ABC News studios in New York and Washington, with correspondents joining from the field. The channel covers politics and elections, the courts, business and markets, weather emergencies and international events, and it moves to continuous coverage when a major story breaks.

Alongside the live output the service carries documentaries and extended interviews, which fill the quieter hours and are also published as separate videos.

Access

ABC News Live reaches viewers through Hulu, Disney+, YouTube and YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, Sling TV, Pluto TV, Xumo, Tubi, FuboTV, The Roku Channel and Samsung TV Plus, as well as the ABC News website and applications. The individual feeds listed here serve those platforms and web players directly.
