Alalam News Channel Syria (العالم سورية) is the Syrian service of Al Alam ("The World"), the Arabic-language news channel headquartered in Tehran and broadcasting since February 2003. The channel's long-standing slogan — "The truth as you see it" — accompanies an editorial line aimed at Arabic-speaking audiences, and its Syrian edition concentrates that output on the affairs of Syria.

The Syrian edition

Al Alam Syria maintains its own editorial desk, with sections covering Syrian society and current affairs, youth and sport, culture and the arts, heritage, services and the economy, alongside a dedicated programme archive and live-broadcast service. Its reporting follows events across the country: official activities of the Syrian government and the People's Assembly, reconstruction and public-service stories, trade fairs and cultural events in Damascus, and the wider political developments of the region.

The parent channel operates as part of Iranian state broadcasting's Arabic-language arm, giving its coverage of Syrian and regional affairs a distinctive perspective within the crowded field of Arabic news television. For viewers following Syria, the service offers one of the few channels reporting the country's post-war developments through an Iran-aligned lens — from the reconstruction economy to the diplomatic re-engagement reshaping the region.

Broadcasting in Arabic around the clock, Alalam News Channel Syria serves both Syrian audiences and the wider Arabic-speaking public that follows Syrian affairs.
