RTP Noticias Live Stream

RTP Notícias is the 24-hour rolling news channel of Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP), Portugal's state-owned public broadcaster. A free-to-air service formerly known as RTP3, it is the company's all-news television channel, built around continuous bulletins and live coverage of breaking news.

A public broadcaster's news channel

As part of the public broadcaster's portfolio, RTP Notícias draws on RTP's national and foreign correspondents and its newsroom in Lisbon. The channel is known for staying with developing stories: rolling coverage of major events, live press conferences and continuous reporting when Portugal is following a national story, from elections and governments to weather emergencies and sporting triumphs.

The channel's rundown follows the rhythm of the Portuguese news day — domestic politics, the work of the Assembly of the Republic, the economy, European affairs, and the communities of Portuguese emigrants abroad, a subject with a permanent place in Portuguese public-service news.

News around the clock

RTP Notícias broadcasts around the clock in European Portuguese, complementing the broadcaster's general-interest channels rather than competing with them. Its live stream is carried on the broadcaster's own digital platforms, where the channel's bulletins and its breaking-news coverage sit alongside on-demand journalism from the same newsroom.

For Portuguese speakers, the channel serves as the public alternative to the commercial news services — a rolling-news operation with a public-service remit, delivering the day's news without the ratings pressures of commercial television.
