Dunya News Live Stream

Dunya News HD is a twenty-four-hour Urdu news and current affairs channel from Pakistan, operated by National Communication Services (Pvt) Ltd with its head office in Lahore. It began transmission in 2008 and was founded by the businessman and politician Mian Amer Mahmood.

The channel is known for a centre-right editorial orientation and has built its reputation on a mixture of rolling news, long-form interviews and satirical infotainment.

News Programmes

Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath has been broadcast since August 2015 and is hosted by the veteran journalist Kamran Khan, now president and editor-in-chief of Dunya Media Group. The programme works through the day's main political developments with guests and reporting.

On The Front with Kamran Shahid takes a similar interview format, and Dunya Meher Bokhari Kay Sath adds a further nightly current affairs slot. Bulletins run through the day with coverage of government, parliament, the courts and security, and special programmes follow elections and major national events.

Satire and Entertainment

Much of the channel's popularity comes from its comedy output. Hasb-e-Haal is one of Pakistan's best-known satirical news programmes, and Mazaq Raat, hosted by Imran Ashraf, established a large following of its own. Both use the news agenda as material for satire rather than straightforward reporting.

Group and Reach

Dunya News belongs to the Dunya Media Group, which also publishes the Urdu newspaper Roznama Dunya, and it distributes its signal by satellite, cable and online, with an extensive video archive on YouTube.
