Silverbird News 24 is the 24-hour news channel of the Silverbird Group, the Nigerian media and entertainment company headquartered in Lagos. The channel delivers continuous Nigerian and international news, political talk and analysis, backed by one of the country's best-known broadcasting brands.

Part of the Silverbird Group

The Silverbird Group grew from a cinema business into a diversified media house that operates Silverbird Television (STV), the Rhythm 93.7 FM radio network and cinemas across Nigeria, and which organizes the long-running Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. Silverbird News 24 is the group's dedicated news arm, giving the company a round-the-clock presence in Nigerian journalism.

Nigerian news around the clock

The channel's grid follows the rhythm of Nigerian public life: politics in Abuja and the state capitals, the economy of Africa's largest oil producer, security and social affairs, sport and entertainment. Live bulletins through the day are interleaved with interviews, panel discussions and coverage of official events.

Operating from Lagos — Nigeria's commercial capital and media hub — Silverbird News 24 competes in one of Africa's most crowded news markets, carrying the Silverbird name that has been part of Nigerian entertainment and broadcasting for decades.
