ADN 40 Live Stream

ADN 40, renamed ADN Noticias in September 2025, is the news channel of TV Azteca. Its main signal is produced for XHTVM-TDT, channel 40 in Mexico City, a station owned by Televisora del Valle de Mexico, and is retransmitted as a digital subchannel on stations across the country. The name stands for Azteca, Deportes y Noticias.

From Proyecto 40 to a News Channel

The station's modern history begins on 21 February 2006, when TV Azteca resumed transmissions on channel 40 under the name Proyecto 40, with a schedule of news and debate presented under the slogan Por un Mexico libre. Its forums became known as an open space for expression, distinct in style from the main Azteca channels.

On 29 November 2012 the channel ceased to be exclusive to Mexico City and pay television and was extended through the Azteca network using digital multiprogramming, reaching cities from Tijuana and Mexicali to Merida, Monterrey and Veracruz. On 13 March 2017 it changed its image and name to adn 40 and repositioned itself as a fully news-based channel, dropping foreign documentaries and reality shows.

News and Debate

The schedule is built on bulletins, opinion and political debate, with sports and cultural programming. The channel belongs to the Alianza Informativa Latinoamericana and exchanges material with the European News Exchange, ENEX.

Coverage

The high-definition signal at 1080i is carried on XHTVM in the capital on virtual channel 40.1, while the rest of the country receives the service as a subchannel of TV Azteca stations, following authorisation from the federal telecommunications institute in 2016.
