NDTV Marathi Live Stream
NDTV Marathi brings the network’s regional reporting to Marathi speaking audiences across Maharashtra. The channel launched on Maharashtra Day, May 1, 2024, as the sixth news channel in NDTV’s portfolio, extending the broadcaster’s coverage into Marathi language journalism.
A Marathi channel launched on Maharashtra Day
NDTV introduced the channel on May 1, 2024, linking its launch to Maharashtra Day. The launch event in Mumbai was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. NDTV described the service as a source of trustworthy news and information for the state’s Marathi speaking public.
The launch campaign presented NDTV Marathi as “Maharashtra’s new voice,” a phrase that reflects its regional identity. Its defining feature is Marathi language reporting about the state and its people, within a network that already operated national and regional news services.
Coverage from cities and districts
The official live page describes reporting from across Maharashtra, naming places from Mumbai and Pune to Kolhapur and Nagpur, as well as Malvan, Malegaon and Parli. This broad geographic remit places state news in context beyond the largest urban centres.
Channel coverage includes Maharashtra politics, elections, public affairs and breaking developments. Regional reporting brings local events and civic questions into a Marathi language news service for audiences following both their communities and state wide issues.
Clear reporting for Maharashtra
At launch, NDTV said the channel would aim for high quality, uncluttered journalism. That editorial statement sets out a focus on clear reporting and relevant information rather than a schedule of named programmes. The channel’s public description also identifies it as a 24 hour Marathi news service.
Part of NDTV’s regional news portfolio
NDTV Marathi is one part of the broadcaster’s expansion into regional language television. NDTV’s annual reporting places it alongside regional services for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, while its digital platform carries continuing Marathi news and video coverage. Together, the channel and website extend NDTV’s reporting to audiences who follow news in Marathi.
