Ekushey TV Live Stream
On 21 February 1952, students in Dhaka died defending the Bengali language. The day - Ekushey February - became the soul of a nation, and it gave a television channel its name. Ekushey TV went on air on 14 April 2000, the Bengali New Year, one of Bangladesh's first private channels.
The channel - known to viewers simply as ETV - grew into one of the country's most watched, built on Bengali drama, music and a newsroom that has never been afraid of the powerful. Its motto is "Committed to change", and the phrase is not decorative.
Drama and Debate
The grid mixes the news with what Bangladeshi television does best: drama serials, music programs and talk shows that set the country's conversation. Its newsroom covers Dhaka and the districts, and its dramas have launched careers across Bengali entertainment.
The New Year Channel
Broadcasting by satellite and streaming online, Ekushey TV reaches Bangladesh and the large Bengali diaspora - a channel named for the day the country found its voice.
