Good News Today is a 24-hour Hindi-language television news channel owned by the TV Today Network, the New Delhi-based broadcaster of the India Today Group, and a sister channel of Aaj Tak. Its editorial identity centres on constructive journalism: alongside breaking news, the channel foregrounds positive and uplifting stories from across India and the world.

From Aajtak Tez to Good News Today

The channel has one of the longer histories in Indian Hindi news television: it ran as Aajtak Tez between 22 August 2005 and 4 September 2021, before being renamed Good News Today on 5 September 2021 — a rebranding that turned a rolling-news spin-off into a channel built around the idea of "good news, true news".

Constructive and positive storytelling

Viewers follow Good News Today for national news, Indian politics, human-interest stories and current affairs. The channel's grid combines news bulletins with current-affairs programmes, special reports and coverage of India's elections, together with long-running features such as Saas Bahu Aur Betiyan — a show on family and relationships — that reflect its lifestyle-oriented side.
