Balticum TV Live Stream

Balticum TV began with a cable wire and a stubborn idea. In August 1989, in the last years of the Soviet Union, a small team in Klaipeda mounted Lithuania's first cable television system - and started showing the port city its own programs.

That is the whole founding myth, and it happens to be true. The company registered as UAB Balticum TV in 1993, became the regional channel of Western Lithuania in April 2000, and never really left its home on the coast. For most of its life it ran on local news - until March 2020, when the news operation closed and the grid shifted to current-affairs talk, publicistic programs, entertainment and films.

The channel wrote one footnote into national television history: in 1992 its Klaipeda studio launched Viskas!, a music program that went on to run nationwide on TV3. Today Balticum is part of a larger telecommunications group that provides fiber internet and television across Lithuania, and its channel reaches viewers on cable in the west, in Vilnius, and through the company's own Smart TV platform.
