Canal IPe Live Stream

Canal IPe is Peru's public television channel for children and young people, operated by the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru. It began in 2016 with a mission to encourage creativity, dialogue, representation and Peruvian identity.

Chicos IPe preescolar and Lenguas originarias

The schedule includes Chicos IPe preescolar, a space for stories, imagination and play, and Chicos IPe – Lenguas originarias, with programmes in Quechua, Asháninka and Aymara. Broadcasting children's content in indigenous languages is unusual anywhere in the Americas, and it is the part of the channel's remit that public status makes possible.

Chaski el investigador

Chaski el investigador introduces different activities, professions and trades in Peru, connecting learning with real-life subjects, while Los cazaventuras follows children investigating questions through visits, interviews and audiovisual reports.

Mi perro Chocolo and Para y juega

Mi perro Chocolo brings songs and play with Chocolo and his friends, and Para y juega combines music, games and learning activities. These are acquired or co-produced formats that give the channel a full daytime schedule without producing everything itself.

Public television for children

IRTP runs Peru's state television, and Canal IPe is its dedicated children's service. In a market where private channels treat children's programming as a commercial block, a publicly funded alternative can schedule for age groups and languages rather than for toy advertising.
