Argus News Live Stream

Argus News is a 24x7 Odia-language news television channel from Odisha, launched on 18 April 2018, on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. The channel operates a network of reporters across the state and a satellite presence, and describes its purpose as connecting the entire Odia community across the globe on a single platform.

News for Odisha and the Odia diaspora

Coverage spans Odisha's politics, business, sport and entertainment, with breaking news from Bhubaneswar and the state's districts. Disaster reporting is a permanent part of the channel's work on the Bay of Bengal coast, where cyclone warnings, ministerial deployments to affected districts and evacuation measures are followed hour by hour. Its audience extends beyond India: the broadcaster addresses Odia communities abroad, a significant public given the state's diaspora in the Gulf, South-East Asia and the West.

Verticals and digital reach

Around the news channel Argus has built specialised verticals, published in both Odia and English: Argus Conclaves for industry and policy forums, Argus Agri Vikas for agriculture, Argus Nari Shakti on women, Argus Education Next on schooling and higher education, Argus Health Connect on medicine, Argus Swaad Odisha on the state's cuisine and Argus Chalo Dekhein Apna Desh on travel across India. The broadcaster's digital newsroom publishes the channel's reporting in text and video alongside the live broadcast, carrying the day's stories from Odisha's districts to viewers well beyond the state.

Within Odisha's media market, Argus News competes with the state's established Odia channels on the strength of its statewide reporting network and its digital-first expansion.
