Kanal 23 is the local television channel of Elazığ, in eastern Turkey - named after the province's plate code 23. On air since 1 January 1994, it is one of Turkey's first regional television channels.

Three Decades of Local Broadcasting

Since 1 February 2018 the channel has been part of the Doruk Medya Grubu, chaired since January 2021 by the Elazığ businessman Ayhan Polat. Kanal 23 broadcasts terrestrially in Elazığ, on the Türksat satellite, on Türksat Kablo TV channel 109 and online.

Close to Home First

The channel works on the principle of "from near to far": Elazığ's own news, politics, economy and community events come first, with a broadcast format aimed at the whole of the province's society rather than any single audience - a local news voice that has outlasted most of its generation. The channel's reporting has followed the province through its hardest moments, including the devastating January 2020 Elazığ earthquake.
