Khurshid TV Live Stream
Khurshid TV was a private Afghan television broadcaster based in Kabul, transmitting in Dari and Pashto. The Afghan Journalists Center lists its output across political, social, literary, economic and sports topics, with terrestrial and satellite distribution. Archived videos document programmes such as Subh-e Khurshid (Khurshid Morning), Nooqta-e Josh (Flashpoint) and Dam Ba Dam (Moment by Moment), alongside music and entertainment formats. A past edition of Subh-e Khurshid featured presenter Ahmad Soroush.
Reporting amid danger
Khurshid staff faced deadly attacks while commuting in Kabul. In August 2019, an explosive device struck a minibus used by the network, injuring two staff members and killing two other people. In May 2020, a separate bombing killed the broadcaster's economics reporter Mir Wahed Shah and technician Shafiq Amiri, and injured additional employees. These events form part of the station's history as an independent newsroom.
Broadcasting history
After the Taliban takeover in 2021, Khurshid TV went off air; reports that year also documented months of unpaid salaries for some staff. In July 2026, satellite listings marked the channel's transmissions off air. The archived Dari and Pashto material remains part of Afghan online television history, while Khurshid TV's entry describes a former broadcaster rather than a current live service.
