Russky Sever is a regional television channel based in Vologda Oblast, Russia, and part of the Media Center holding. The broadcaster says its news team covers events across the region and describes its output as a mix of information and entertainment, documentary and feature films, series, and live sports. Its website provides a direct broadcast and a weekly program schedule.

News from Vologda Oblast

News is described by the channel as its main product. The schedule lists Vremya novostey (News Time), alongside regional reporting and topical programs. The channel’s site also identifies Zdravstvuyte (Hello), a health and medicine program hosted by Natalia Ruzova. The format brings medical questions and regional doctors into a local television setting.

Documentaries and regional stories

Documentary titles in the published grid include Istoriya v detalyakh i puteshestviya (History in Detail and Travels) and Zametki naturalista (Naturalist’s Notes). The broader schedule also includes films, serials, and regional sports. The channel specifically names coverage of Severstal hockey, Dynamo football, and Chevakata basketball among its sports broadcasts.

Local television and online access

The broadcaster traces its team’s history to Vologda’s regional television era and says the first program of its predecessor, Channel 7, aired on 30 December 1990. Today Russky Sever is carried on local television services and online platforms; its official site labels its player as a direct broadcast. The schedule can change, so the current program page is the place to check what is on air.
