Speda TV Live Stream

Speda TV, also known as Speda Channel, is a Kurdish-language broadcaster based in Iraq and associated with the Kurdistan Islamic Union. On air in its current form since 2009, it combines news and current affairs with religious, cultural, educational and family programming for Kurdish-speaking audiences.

News and public affairs

Speda reports on politics and society in Iraqi Kurdistan, including public services, local communities and regional developments. Its journalism is presented alongside discussion and analysis, giving viewers context on issues affecting Kurdish residents. Coverage also appears through the broadcaster's online media platforms.

Faith, culture and community

The schedule includes religious content and programs focused on family, education, culture and economic topics. These formats reflect Speda's wider remit beyond a rolling news service. Its website and social channels provide additional video and updates for viewers following the broadcaster online.

Satellite and online access

In 2024, the Kurdistan Regional Government suspended Speda's broadcasts on local TV receivers over licensing requirements. Speda disputed the decision, and satellite broadcasts continued, according to Rudaw. LyngSat lists the Kurdish-language channel in HD via Eutelsat 8 West B; reception depends on location and equipment. Check current listings before tuning in.
