Omroep Brabant online - Television live

Omroep Brabant Live Stream

Omroep Brabant is the regional public broadcaster of the Dutch province of North Brabant. It began as a radio service in 1976, added television in 1997, and today runs TV, radio, web and a mobile app as the main source of provincial news for Eindhoven, Tilburg, Breda, 's-Hertogenbosch and dozens of smaller communities in between.

News with a Brabant Accent

The backbone of the television service is Brabant Nieuws, with bulletins through the day covering provincial politics, crime, weather and traffic - the traffic updates alone are famous among commuters on the A2 and A27. Regional sport gets its own daily window, and the broadcaster's reporters appear wherever something burns, floods or celebrates.

Carnaval and Other Weekend Rituals

Once a year the channel turns into the unofficial headquarters of Carnaval, following the parades village by village in a marathon broadcast that no national network attempts. Weekends are framed by 2 Uurkes Vurraf and 3 Uurkes Vurraf, dialect-flavoured magazine shows whose titles mean roughly "two hours before" and "three hours after". Documentaries and commemorative specials mark local anniversaries, from wartime history to football promotions.
