Shalom TV Europe Live Stream

Shalom Television (Shalom TV Europe) is the European service of Shalom Television, the Indian Christian channel known as "God's Own Channel". It broadcasts Christian programming to viewers in Europe and the diaspora.

From Asianet to a 24-hour channel

Shalom began in 1998 with the half-hour programme Samadhanam Nammodukude (Peace with Us) on the Asianet channel, spreading a message of peace and hope. In March 2005 it launched its own 24-hour television channel, expanding into a full broadcaster.

A Malayalam church channel in Europe

Shalom's home audience is in Kerala, where its Malayalam programming serves the Syro-Malabar and Latin Catholic communities and the state's large Christian population. The European service exists because so many Keralites work in the Gulf, Europe and North America, and it keeps them connected to the teaching they grew up with.

Worship, teaching and practical advice

The grid is built on Christian content for all sections of society: worship, teaching, music and programmes addressing the issues people face with practical, faith-based solutions, including counselling formats and family advice.

A channel with its own production base

Unlike many diaspora services that simply relay a parent feed, Shalom produces in its own studios, which is what allowed it to grow from a single half-hour slot into a round-the-clock channel.
