NewsWorld Live Stream

NewsWorld is an English-language news channel associated with Lightning International, a content distribution company headquartered in Hong Kong. The channel is listed in international channel registries as a Hong Kong news service and is distributed as a free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel, reaching viewers through streaming platforms rather than traditional terrestrial transmission.

Distributed by Lightning International

NewsWorld forms part of the channel portfolio of Lightning International, a Hong Kong-based company specializing in content distribution across Asia and beyond. Alongside individual channels, the company licenses TV shows, formats and 4K programming to broadcasters and platforms, and runs industry events connecting content owners with buyers. Its catalogue spans news, lifestyle, music, drama and factual entertainment, and NewsWorld represents the news offering within that line-up.

The FAST channel model

As a FAST channel, NewsWorld follows the linear-streaming format that has become a standard way for international news services to reach audiences outside their home market: a continuous scheduled feed carried by streaming platforms and smart-TV services. This distribution model allows a Hong Kong-originated news channel to appear alongside global news brands on platforms in North America, Europe and Asia.

The channel's focus is rolling coverage of world news, positioned for an international English-speaking audience that follows events across multiple regions.
