Imedi TV Live Stream

Imedi TV (იმედი, "Hope") is Georgia's most-watched television channel, a private television and radio company founded in 2001 by the Georgian media magnate Badri Patarkatsishvili. It broadcasts from Tbilisi and is part of the Imedi Media Holding.

A Channel at the Centre of Georgian Politics

Imedi has been at the centre of Georgia's media politics: it was closed by the government in 2007 amid political tension, and in March 2010 it aired a notorious fake news report simulating a Russian invasion, which caused public panic. The channel also carried The Voice of Georgia. Its editorial line is described as pro-government.

Programming

The grid is anchored by the Dgis Kronika (Day's Chronicle) news and the weekly Imedis Kvira, the debate format Gia Eteri (Open Air), the morning Imedis Dila, the Ghame Show with Giorgi Gabunia and the Sitgruis Detektori (Lie Detector), alongside family and cultural programmes.
