Channel 11 - Austin Public Live Stream

Channel 11 - Austin Public is the public access television channel of Austin, Texas, operated by the Austin Film Society and giving every resident of the city a place on cable to make - and air - their own media.

A Studio for Everyone

Austin Public describes itself as a non-exclusive, content-neutral media studio: it offers low- and no-cost training, equipment, facilities and cablecasting to any Austinite who wants to use them. The result fills Channel 11's schedule with programs made by residents and nonprofit organizations - talk shows, music programs, community documentaries, religious services and neighborhood reports that commercial television would never carry.

Run by a Film Society

The channel's operator, the Austin Film Society, the film culture organization founded in 1985 in Texas' capital city, brings a filmmaker's sensibility to the access operation, with a media center housing studios and editing facilities alongside the city's film promotion work.

Watching Channel 11

Austin Public's live channel streams around the clock, with programs archived on the platform, so the community's programming reaches viewers on cable in Austin and on the open web everywhere else.
