OTR Live Stream

OTR - Obshchestvennoye Televideniye Rossii, the Public Television of Russia - is the Russian public television channel, launched on 19 May 2013 following the initiative announced by Dmitry Medvedev in April 2012. It is operated by the autonomous non-profit organisation ANO OTVR, headquartered on Akademika Korolyova street in Moscow, and broadcast without commercial advertising.

A public channel

The channel was conceived as a platform presenting an independent point of view on events, with an emphasis on discussion, education and culture rather than entertainment. Its remit includes attention to the regions of Russia - the Den regiona (Day of the Region) strand gives each region its day on the national channel - and civic formats around elections and public debate.

Programmes

The grid combines newscasts with talk shows, documentaries, feature films and serials. The flagship discussion programme is Otrazhenie (Reflection), the daily analytical talk format; the schedule also includes educational and cultural series, and a children's and family block. The channel's cinema section and its documentary strands form a large part of the grid.

Distribution

OTR is free-to-air on Russian digital terrestrial and streams live on its official site, with its programmes also published on its social accounts and video platforms.
