RTNB Divertissement Live Stream

RTNB Divertissement is the second television channel of the Radio-Télévision Nationale du Burundi (RTNB), the national broadcaster of Burundi. Operating alongside the broadcaster's main RTNB channel, it forms part of a public television service that, as of 2024, comprises two national television programmes and four radio services.

The entertainment face of national broadcasting

Where the main RTNB channel carries the broadcaster's flagship news and cultural output, the Divertissement service extends the national network into entertainment programming. Its existence reflects the development of RTNB's television offer since digital broadcasting was introduced in 2017, expanding the public broadcaster from a single channel into a multi-channel service for Kirundi-, French-, Swahili- and English-speaking audiences.

Part of the RTNB family

RTNB traces its history to the launch of Radio Burundi in 1960, with television beginning in 1984. Today the broadcaster operates from Bujumbura with two television channels and radio networks including Chaine 1, devoted to news and cultural programmes, and Chaine 2, devoted to news, music and entertainment.
